We have arrived! We are settling in for the night at our Campground in Sandusky, Ohio after a busy day ~ We were blessed with safe travels and are excited to see what God has in store for us at our mission sites!
We had a great sendoff with our parents and friends... Thanks so much for all of your prayers and support!
We stopped over lunch at the Indiana Dunes.... We took some walks and climbed the Dunes and waded at the beach...
...back into the vans and through the rain for about 3.5 hours until we arrived at our campground. It is pretty wet here after a few days of rain but we were glad to have our pizzas waiting for us when we arrived. The go-cart park is also pretty wet so we found a haunted house and arcade to keep us busy!
All the kids are settled in for the night... More adventures to come! Good night!
Hello to all (special shout out to Carly and Aly, my prayer pals)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all survived the rainy arrival, I was watching the weather and kept hearing about rain out East...said a couple of prayers for safe travel on wet roads.
Today, Sunday it's quite hot and humid back here in Colgate, guess Summer is really here!
Today at 10:30 we sang "Send Me Out", the pictures behind the lyrics on the screen today were from your Mission Trip last Summer, so we will have to replace those pictures with new ones now when you guys get back :-)
I will share the chorus from Send Me Out here as it fits PERFECTLY with the reason for your Mission Trip:
"I want to be Your hands and feet. I want to be Your voice every time I speak. I want to run to the ones in need....in the name of Jesus. I want to give my life away, all for Your Kingdom's sake. Shine a light in the darkest place, in the name of Jesus!"
Seems to me your shirts match this chorus too!
I pray that you all truly reflect His light to all you come in contact with. And remember, to see Jesus......REALLY SEE JESUS, is to be changed!
